My work is an exploration of human psychological awareness of various emotional happenings such as loss and memory. I am interested in how we as humans react to these emotional experiences and how our coping mechanisms can manifest themselves in grief as an attempt to hold on to the loss.
I collect objects that are rich in personal value yet may hold a universal empathy. I alter these objects in order to prompt the viewer to engage in a human connection of a relatable sense of grief.
The polaroid prints are a series of acid etchings 4x4 that archive the personal belongings of my brother Sean.
